Jay Blatherwick

Works alongside Simon heading up the hospitality and ski school teams.  Jay started out in the industry 21 years ago, completing her first ski exam - the NZSIA 1 in New Zealand. After going on to complete the ISIA qualification, she trained for and passed the Eurotest (a timed giant slalom) and gained the highest teaching qualification - the International Ski Teacher Diploma and her Carte Professional - in 2003.

“Professionally speaking, I want to ensure all of our guests enjoy a brilliant holiday with sparkling hospitality and great ski tuition,” says Jay.

“On the personal front, I’m longing to see my two children grow to love skiing as much as I do.”

"It’s like home from home for us here...."

Jay’s two children have now taken top place in her ‘list of loves’, knocking skiing down to number two. However, overseeing the hospitality side of Simon Butler Skiing still gives her a buzz.

“I love to welcome our guests each week - they are always so eager for their holidays to begin. It's all about ensuring everyone has the best holiday experience.

“It is like a home from home for us here, which is a phrase

that so many of our guests have also come to use. This makes me very proud since it is the aim we set out to achieve.”
