Alex Casey

Many of you will be happy to know Alex is returning this winter for his 10th Season in Megève.

Alex started skiing at the age of three, he moved quickly into racing and at the age of six he skied for Folkestone ski team. After a successful career in racing, he turned his attentions to teaching others and joined Simon Butler Skiing.

Alex’s enthusiasm always rubs off, especially with our younger skiers. He is very focused on getting them through the Snowlife UK Snowsport Awards. To date there are 62 members of the ‘9-star’ club. Some of our young skiers have used this experience as a stepping stone to progress and have gone on to take professional ski instructor qualifications.

As many of our regular guests already know Alex organises our very own Simon Butler Skiing GS race.  The Friday Race Day event is very popular with many guests who look to see if the improvement they have made throughout the week is reflected in their race times.  Younger skiers working to achieve their 8 and 9-star level awards enjoy the challenge of completing the course within set finishing times.
